Happy (slightly late) Easter!! :D Easter here was super fun!
On Friday, we, along with a bunch of kids from our Kids Church and Youth Group, went and handed Easter eggs out to random children at a park. It was really awesome!
After having doughnuts for breakfast (it's usually cinnamon rolls on Easter, but we voted on doughnuts instead.) the boys set out on a treasure hunt for the Easter baskets that I set up the night before. I didn't know what the last clue was though, Mommy insisted that the location of the baskets remain secret. Turns out, they were in the super duper extremely messy school closet. As well as candy (I GOT MY OWN PACK OF MARSHMALLOW PEEPS!!!!!), each person got something extra. Mr. D and E-man got Ninjago seasons 1 and 2 on DVD, Johnny-Boy got a Veggie Tales movie (the silly song is hilarious, it's called The Bubble Rap), and I got
THE NEW SUPER HARD TO FIND OWL CITY ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooo excited! It's got to be my favorite Owl City album yet!

(notice my face in utter shock at my Owl City. :P ) |
We all got ready, and headed to church, where me and the rest of the Youth Group hid Easter eggs for the kids all over the gym. It would have been outside, but it was too wet. We hid them in the most hilarious places, like above the doors so they fell down on them when they walked in, inside the divider curtain, and we tried to hide them in the basketball hoop, but it didn't turn out too well...... :)
When church was done, we went back home and got all our Easter food to take to Grandma's house. After a bit of begging (please please please please please please please please please?????) Daddy let me take my chicks along too! Our cousins from Tennessee were there, it was super awesome to see them again!
Attempting family pictures didn't go so well, we ended up with these awful pictures.... :)
Family pictures never turn out well..... :)
So, then we ate lunch (consisting of turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy. There was other stuff too, but those were the best! :) ) The egg hunt happened after that, and it was super fun! Mmmmmm...... all that candy..... (which is now mostly gone :P )

And now, you hear my intrestingest story. So, going through the buffet line at supper I made a sandwich with what looked like barbeque chicken. After I ate a whole giant sandwich and extra scoop of the "barbeque chicken" Grandma turned to me and said "Oh, I didn't know you liked rabbit." At that point, I nearly threw up my supper. Turns out, it was actual rabbit meat from Grandma and Grandpa's rabbits out back. I shudder thinking of it.....after all,
I knew those rabbits personally!!!!
So, all in all, Easter was super amazing!!
He has risen!
He has risen indeed!
