The Sick TV

This is a TV. Why are there band-aids on it you ask? Well, it started this morning with Johnny-Boy being ornery and loud. Finally, we turned on cartoons for him, so we could study. After a few episodes, in which I finished all of my school except for co-op homework, I turned it off. He was very angry with me, and said "Where TV?" I replied, "It's broken, it needs a nap." He cocked his head to the side and asked, "Broken?" I assured him it was, and he dashed off into the bathroom. I sat back down to read Treasure Island, when he ran back into the living room and laughed, obviously very satisfied. Running up to me he cried, "TV all better! TV not broken!" I replied, "No, it is still broken." He ran off into the bathroom, and I'd just started to read again when he ran into the living room again and said, "There! TV not broken!" Dragging me by the arm, he showed me his handiwork. I burst out laughing and told Mommy and E-man (Mr. D was at school). Mommy wondered where he got the band-aids and I went into the bathroom.  There, I found this:

The culprit had pushed the little chair into the bathroom in front of the medicine cabinet and stood on it, pulled out the band-aids, and  ripped them open. As I was seeing this, Johnny-Boy came back into the bathroom and grabbed another band-aid. I followed, trying to catch him in the act.  Sure enough:

The First Fire of the Year

Oh yes! It's that time of year again! When the weather gets cold, and frost blankets the ground every morning, we make the legendary first fire.

Daddy carefully preparing the fire.

Behold! The glorious nights of fires have begun!

Our Awesome Halloween Costumes!

My mom is the awesomest mom ever! Because.... she made me this!!!

It's beautiful, isn't it? I love the sleeves on it! They're great for beckoning servants (aka brothers) around. :)

Not to mention the boys' lego costumes! Everyone was so thrilled over them! We were asked at least 25 times "How did you make the heads?" Everyone also said, "Can I take a picture of them?" So, I have famous brothers. :)

Johnny-Boy was Diego from "Go Diego Go." I know, it's depressing. But he was so cute!

This is the huge crowd of trick-or-treaters. Yeah, there's a lot of us. Mr. Jeff was a football player, Ms. Sara was a dog, Hannah was a cat, Bekah was a mouse, and Joshy was the cheese. Then, Ms. Alex, Mr. Mark, and Olivia were bees, Talia was a ballerina named DeeDee, and Charlotte was a mad scientist named Dexter. Danica was a pirate and McKennen was Spiderman. That's everyone!

Left to right- Olivia, me, Talia.

All I have to say is: I love costumes and trick-or-treating:)

Happy Birthday to Daddy!

Happy Birthday to Daddy (even though it was in October)! :)

I love Johnny-Boy in this picture!

Picking wax off of the cake! :)

Anticipating the cake

Stabbing the ice cream. as he was doing this he was yelling "OW! OW! OW! OW!"

The cake, ice cream, and raspberry sauce.

I felt like a blood-eating monster eating this! :)

The Beach!!!!!

Note to readers: Sorry everyone for the delay in publishing this!!! (our trip was from the 7th of October to the 14th of October) :) and I don't even have a good excuse :( Oh well...

After 4 hours, 27 minutes, and 14 seconds of being stuck in the car, (not including Wendy's for lunch and a gas station for leg stretching) we finally arrived at the Edisto Island! It was so much fun!! (minus the sunburn, salt water in eyes, and being dragged along by humongous waves.)

The beautiful view from my bedroom window!

On the first day there, Megan (age 11, six months younger than me), Karina (age 9 as of November 8th), and I were bored waiting for breakfast, so we decided to go to breakfast dressed up with crazy hair/clothes!! It was so funny!

Karina was crazy biker, swimmer, sunglasses person!  :)

I was the crazy British tourist that went around taking pictures of everyone saying "Say cheese, colonials!" Not to mention my clothes, which are stripes and plaid *shudder* and my hair is in a braid and pigtail! :)

Megan was weird hair, horrible clothing color person. It took us FOREVER to do her hair, but as you can see, it paid off.

We went outside to the beach later, and I remembered how much I loved the Atlantic Ocean! (even though it was trying to spit me out with gigantic waves) Megan, Karina, and  I were out in the water for hours at a time and very reluctant to come in (hence the sunburn).

One of the fiendish waves!

SEAGULLS!!!!!!!!!!

My adorable widdle cousin Winnie!!!! She might be my new favorite cousin! (kidding)

A fishing boat! The seagulls are following it because the fishermen are throwing out fish they don't want.

The boys' (E-man, Mr. D, and Shawn) gigantic sand castle. It was larger, but part of it got washed away by the tide.

My awesome crab leg! :)

Daddy reading while making supper (we had a "guys cook night")

The boys being weird :)

After a couple days of lounging around on the beach all day, we went to visit the U.S.S. Yorktown in Charleston. It's a humongous aircraft carrier, that has been retired and turned into a museum. It actually fought in WWII!!

We applied for the homeschooling tour and we got a scavenger hunt to do!! Megan and were the only ones that actually did it though...:)

A life-boat that was in the parking lot!

The fearless scavenger hunters! (me in the red jacket, Megan in the pink jacket and skirt, and Karina in the blue jacket and purple skirt.)

The indoor airplanes!! :)
The space capsule that had ACTUALLY been in space!!!!!!!!
E-man and the creepy wax figure!

One of the many, many, many, many, many staircases we had to climb. How the people living on the ship do it, I don't know.

The plane that we could climb into!! There were so many buttons! :)

Uncle Eric being the ship's commander explaining our war strategy! :) It was so funny!

A really long and slightly scary missile

I love this picture! It shows patriotism for our state, the awesome Palmetto State!! The bridge in the background is the bridge that crosses into Charleston, called the Arther  Ravenel Jr. Bridge

Bridge!! Yay!

E-man observing an airplane.

A BOMBER!!!!
The top of the Yorktown

Chopper!

Charleston Harbor

A sailboat!

Little tiny Aunt Shea!

Karina

After out amazing adventure on the ship, which took about 2 1/2 hours, We set out for the submarine even though our feet hurt. I didn't take too many pics on the sub, but here's the ones I did take!

The submarine with the Yorktown in the background.

The itty-bitty office

All I have to say is "2 toilets, for 50 people." It's depressing.

On the way back to the parking lot, I got this perfect picture. It's so pretty isn't it?

Almost everyday Megan, Branson, I, and an uncle went bike riding. Our farthest was 6 1/2 miles!    The beach was so, so,so much fun!!!! I can't wait to go back!!
